New Lief Design Center
As a ceramic artist, revealing the heart, hand and mind is at the core of my work. I strive to bridge the material, social and spiritual worlds, to transcend the sterile perfection of the machine-made. My work invokes inter-personal and spatial relationships.

I work in translucent porcelain because it’s tactile presence expresses connection in a time of globalization and an explosion of virtual networks. My hands, tuned to the cadence and physics of porcelain, make architectural panels, art pieces and sculpture. Done with eyes wide open, these objects are an expression of life’s myriad dichotomies and haptic memories.

Frozen by fire, porcelain is a white vitreous body. It reveals each touch of the maker’s hand. Encouraging one to pause. Engage. Art at the confluence of observation and storytelling where softness blends with feminine power. Art made to celebrate and reflect the unnoticed. Visual collages gifted to the viewer.
